What a great race today!

Jorge Lorenzo wins.

I havn’t see such a good race at the front for a while, that was awesome. Valentino had a superb start as did a bunch of other riders, partcicularly Dani Pedrosa who eventually finished 3rd after giving Rossi a run for his money towards the end. Jorge was mighty and stayed with the pack until his time came to make a move on Rossi, he managed to pull a gap for a while Rossi and Pedrosa had a battle, Rossi started closing back in on Lorenzo but to little and tto late.

Casey Stoner went backwards at the start struggling with what seemed to be his tyres, he eventually fought back and passed De Angelis towards the end to take 4th place. Britains James Toseland had a good race and finished ahead of his team mate Colin Edwards in 9th.

MotoGP masterclass NWYT?

Monday, April 13th, 2009

By masterclass I am of course referring to Valentino Rossi, there are 2 groups in MotoGP, Vale and the rest. Yes I hear you “Valentino Rossi didn’t win” and I know BUT, yes theres a but…

The pace of the Ducati is mighty and with the straight blasts on the losail circuit the only guy that could half hang with Stoner on the day was Rossi, see where I’m going with this, even from the start you could see the Ducati power, and yes, I love Ducati’s, alot, but, yes another but, put Stoner on another bike and he’ll  be back with the has been’s like Gibernau etc etc. The Ducati just seems to suit him sooooo much, and no, I’m not taking anything away from Stoner, he’s a cracking, neigh awesome rider and I wish him all the luck for the rest of the season.

So, we’ll have to see I suppose, Losail just seemed to suit the Stoner Ducati package, I’m sure there will be other circuits that are coming up very soon that will also but I’m gonna put my money where my mouth is and say “Stoner will not be World Champ”.

Did you see the move that D’Angelis put on Pedrosa, jeex, nearly clean took his front wheel out, I hope one of Pedrosas heavies paid a visit a few garages down, if not drop me a line Dani.

So, there we have it, the 1st one done and dusted, all be it a day late, cracking race for the 3rd, 4th, 5th etc etc placed guys, at the end of they day they couldnt hang.

See you soon.

p.s if you don’t agree, leave me a message.

kushtee.

Moto GP gets underway

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

The Moto GP season kicks off this weekend in Qatar, the normal suspects are up the front, Stoner, Rossi & Lorenzon but there is also a bit of a shakeup towards the back of the grid. Former World Champ Nicky Hayden had a crash while trying to improve on his qualy position of 16th, someone else who seems to struggle with the Ducati.

Sete Gibernau makes his returm to Moto GP and is making his debut from a lowly 17th position.

There has alse been development with the Moto2 calss which will replace the 250cc bikes with a single engine manufacturer, sounds good so keep your eyes out for that.

Looks like its going to be a bit of a runaway race for the 4 or 5 front runners, we’ll have to see I suppose,  whatever Im really looking forward to it.

Eeasy now.
